Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a pharmaceutical plant in the Waukegan Area! The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in machine maintenance and building maintenance in a food or pharmaceutical environment.

Duties

Read and understand construction and machine blueprints, including machine drawings and building construction floor plans
Perform administrative tasks such as parts ordering, vendor management inventory
Perform equipment and building rounds readings, and is responsible for identifying, mitigating, and reporting building system equipment malfunctions
Engages in ground maintenance activities such as parking lot maintenance, exterior building maintenance
Assist senior Maintenance Mechanics in performing preventive Maintenance on mechanical, plumbing and electrical equipment
Possess general knowledge of the following skill sets: PLC, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Welding, Pneumatic, Gas Supply, Vacuum, Writing/Revising SOPs, PM, cGMP
Must interpret drawings, layouts and wiring diagrams.

Requirements

2-3 years of experience in facility maintenance.
High school diploma or equivalent
Must interpret drawings, layouts and wiring diagrams.
Must possess a basic knowledge of the following skill sets: o Electrical, Plumbing, Drywall Repairs, Painting, Flooring, General Carpentry, Locks, Snow Removal, Lawn Care
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to use common tools.
Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
