The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing production readiness, ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards, and driving continuous‑improvement initiatives for the design. This role will collaborate closely internally as well as with industry partner teams to translate system requirements into manufacturable solutions while maintaining traceability and configuration control. This position does not support teleworking; you must be able to work at either our Littleton, CO or Sunnyvale, CA campuses and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. What does this role look like?The Digital and Analog Talent Center is seeking an experienced Responsible Engineer/Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) to lead the test and integration of digital electronics systems. This role offers the opportunity to build expertise in the technical disciplines required to design and deliver complex digital products while providing technical leadership to ensure products meet customer requirements.Key ActivitiesSupport digital products including digital processing, software-defined radio, command & data handling, controls & avionics, and other digital systems supporting Lockheed Martin space and missile programs.Apply expertise in FPGA/ASIC design, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design, embedded software, FPGA gateware, systems engineering, requirements management, integration & test, GNC, and electrical engineering.Lead technical evaluations of designs and requirements verification.To Be EffectiveExperience as a Responsible Engineer/Product Lead for analog and digital electronics.Experience working with subcontractors and sub-tier suppliers.Familiarity with engineering processes, failure investigations/root cause analysis, and Failure Review Boards.Experience supporting aerospace electronic component development through multiple phases.The information below reflects the standard job description for this position:Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.Basic QualificationsEngineering degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Working knowledge or experience with Systems Engineering concepts and processes including vehicle or subsystem design, test and integration.Experience in leading a team, accomplishing both strategic objectives and execution of programs.Active or current TS/SCI clearance, thus US citizenship is required.
