Sr. Graphic Artist

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find an experienced Production Graphic Artist in the Brazoria/Galveston county area. In this fast-paced, prepress role, you will be responsible for taking a customer's vision and designing or perfecting artwork. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below.


In this Leading Production Graphic Artist role you will:

• Complete and finalize designs for prepress/press process.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to edit and complete designs within reasonable time to meet deadlines.
• Operating vinyl plotters, Roland digital presses, CNC routers and other printing equipment.
• Set up and recalibrate production equipment.
• Prepare materials for production.
• Assist with packaging and labeling finished products.
• Ensure consistent product quality.
• Assist design team with their projects and designs
• Manage and train team to build on quality and production successfully
• Assist with other tasks as needed.

What you'll need :

• 5+ years of previous work experience in graphic design, print press and production is REQUIRED !
• Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Illustrator and Photoshop and Mac workstation is REQUIRED !
• Prepress and Machine operation experience required
• Flexo Prepress experience required
• Strong design and production experience
• Previous experience in a design leadership role preferred
• Proficiency with math and ability to multitask
• Accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail are a must!
• Must work with a sense of urgency – role is hands-on.
• Ability to lift up-to 50lbs repeatedly.
