Development NPI Product Manager - McKinney, TX

Job Overview At RTX we are dedicated to protecting national security through the development of advanced aerospace and defense systems. The Advanced Product Center is seeking an Operations Product Manager with extensive operations experience to guide execution across multiple Raytheon programs. The successful candidate will align functional and factory areas with cost, quality, and schedule objectives while driving profitability, ROI, and sustained growth. The role includes accountability for schedule performance, Hour Per Unit (HPU), Out of Flow (OOF) yield, risk and opportunity management, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement for program(s) with an overall scope up to $100M. Responsibilities Lead collaboratively across Operations, Supply Chain, Program Management Office (PMO), Engineering, Mission Assurance, Finance, and Contracts. Demonstrate performance in business operations, performance measurement systems, command media, program lifecycle management, and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Lead or support factory meetings such as HMT, Retrospective/IPT, Tiers, and Management Reviews. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and Engineering to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Support operational security (OPSEC) plan execution and influence future security strategies. Support or lead production activities, including direct engagement with teams responsible for assembly and test of electronic and/or mechanical products, production control (PC) planning and management, build process benchmarking, value stream mapping, proposal efforts, ad‑hoc requests from Programs/POM, and ownership of LRE/EAC activities for factory operations such as HPUs, scrap, and attrition. Qualifications A university degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Proficiency with manufacturing and data analytics tools such as SAP/PRISM/APEX, CMES, Kinaxis, and PowerBI. Experience with documentation systems such as Common PDM to validate as‑built configurations, alternates, ECNs, effectivities, and change history. U.S. citizenship is required. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing policies and procedures, as well as experience with RF components, RF subassemblies, and RF subsystems. Demonstrated experience in Lean, Six Sigma/CORE, and other operational and manufacturing processes (assembly, integration, and test). Experience using metrics to develop and implement build plans or MRP while achieving cost and quality requirements. Effective communicator with the ability to develop relationships and work with personnel at all organizational levels, functional stakeholders, and internal/external customers. Experience collaborating with subcontract program managers and business leadership. Familiarity with government regulations such as FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, and TINA.
