This includes (but not limited to) supervisory tasks in Electric Operations related to construction, design, planning, and scheduling. This position is responsible for overseeing the construction or maintenance activities related to the company's transmission and distribution infrastructure within an assigned area. The Operations Supervisor ensures that all customers' needs are met in a safe, efficient and timely manner through the effective management/utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.Job ResponsibilitiesSupervisory tasks in Electric Operations related to construction, design, planning, and scheduling for WPS electric transmission and distribution systemsCollaborate with the contracted companies in order to achieve the best results for projects throughout their assigned areaEnsure the safety of employees, customers, and contractors during all work applicationsPlan, coordinate and conduct safety meetings to communicate safety requirements, updates and training requiredManage work assignments to minimize overtime and costs while maintaining optimal customer serviceMotivate and engage employees to increase efficiency, productivity, availability, safety performance and core expectationsEvaluate performance, coach, develop and conduct annual performance reviews with individual employeesGood working knowledge of union contracts and employee relationship buildingAbility to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees, contractors, and community groupsMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma, HSED or GEDValid Drivers License3 years' experience in utility or similar industry and/or 3 years' experience in supervision of direct reportsGood working knowledge of union contracts and employee relationship buildingAbility to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees, contractors, and community groupsStrong communication and organizational skills are a benefitPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience working at an Electric or Gas UtilityPrevious experience working as a Line Apprentice/Line JourneymanPrevious experience in a formal leadership role with the ability to effectively manage people and resourcesPrevious experience leading and/or supervising union employeesPay Range Minimum: $90,507.56 Pay Range Maximum: $135,761.08The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
