Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit, monitoring and responding to cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Administer and manage insulin and heparin drips per facility protocols
• Perform remote telemetry monitoring and initiate appropriate dysrhythmia treatment
• Conduct and document NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments as required
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities when requested

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 18 months of Telemetry experience within the past 3 years
• NIHSS certification required
• Demonstrated experience with insulin and heparin drip management
• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia treatment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse experience in a telemetry setting
• Familiarity with telemetry unit workflows in a large academic medical environment
