Inspire and empower young minds as an English Language Arts teacher in a welcoming school environment near Napoleonville, LA. This contract position is projected to begin as soon as possible and continue through May 2027, offering the unique opportunity to shape students’ academic journeys in the heart of the community. The role is for an onsite, full-time educator eager to engage and motivate learners across general education classrooms.

Ideal candidates will bring:

• A valid Louisiana teaching license with applicable endorsements for English Language Arts
• Experience teaching general education or ELA courses at the elementary or secondary level
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, participatory environment
• A passion for literacy and language arts instruction, with a student-centered approach
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families
• Adaptability and a proactive mindset, ready to step into a supportive school culture

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering innovative, standards-aligned ELA lessons to diverse learners
• Assessing student progress and tailoring instruction to foster academic growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop engaging, cross-disciplinary units and address student needs
• Maintaining accurate records, progress reports, and ensuring compliance with school and state policies
• Participating in professional development and school community activities
• Supporting school initiatives and adapting to evolving educational needs

This is a full-time contract position, working 37.5 hours per week on campus during the school year. Details regarding specific assignments and grade levels will be finalized in July 2026.
