For over 100 years, they have been the region's premier full-service provider of custom marking, signage, and identification products.PrideStaff is proud to partner with our client to find a high-energy, dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join their Dayton facility!Shipping & Receiving Clerk - Position OverviewBecause they produce a wide variety of custom-engineered products, shipping accuracy and careful handling are paramount. As the Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will serve as the crucial final step in the customer experience, making sure every custom order is verified, packaged safely, and dispatched on time.Key ResponsibilitiesCarefully pack, label, and process outgoing orders via UPS, FedEx, USPS, and regional freight/LTL carriers.Verify outgoing items against work orders and packing lists to ensure 100% accuracy before shipment.Receive raw materials, inspect incoming deliveries for damage, and unpack/log inventory.Generate shipping labels, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and packing slips using shipping software and internal inventory systems.Assist with staging finished orders, organizing warehouse stock, and maintaining an orderly shipping department.Interact directly with delivery drivers and freight dispatchers to maintain daily pickup schedules.Help support our entire office team by handling customer calls, following up on customer orders, or other general office responsibilities that help enable the team to efficiently and effectively meet all customer needs.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: 1–3+ years in shipping, receiving, order packing, or fulfillment in a manufacturing or distribution environment.Precision & Detail: High attention to detail — many orders are custom-made with unique customer specifications and part numbers.Tech Skills: Basic computer proficiency for navigating shipping platforms (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or similar ERP software).Equipment Handling: Experience using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and basic shop tools.Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand throughout the shift and comfortably lift/move up to 50 lbs.Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and pride in maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.Why Work with PrideStaff?Weekly Direct Deposit PayHealth, Dental, & Vision Insurance availablePersonalized Support from local recruiters who know the Dayton job marketDirect Path to Direct-Hire Employment with a stable, iconic local businessReady to Join a Dayton Heritage Company?Apply today to take the next step in your logistics career!
