Member Service Representative

Location: Washington, DC (Remote) Type: 3-Month Contract (W-2) Compensation: $25/hour Overview We are seeking a Member Service Representatives to support a high-volume healthcare contact center during Open Enrollment season. In this role, you will assist members with benefits, claims, enrollment, billing inquiries, and general customer service needs while providing a positive customer experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple systems while handling inbound calls. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive member information. Responsibilities Respond to inbound member inquiries regarding benefits, claims, enrollment, and billing Research and resolve customer issues while providing accurate information Document customer interactions and maintain detailed records Navigate multiple systems simultaneously while assisting members Escalate complex issues when appropriate Support enrollment and account-related transactions Provide professional and empathetic customer service Maintain productivity and quality standards in a contact center environment Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of customer service experience 2-3 years of previous inbound call center experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a high-volume call center environment Experience using multiple computer systems simultaneously Strong computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple systems simultaneously, including Microsoft Office and customer service platforms Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred Qualifications 2-5 years of inbound call center experience Healthcare or health insurance experience Claims processing experience Member services experience Enrollment or benefits administration experience Experience working in a quality or production-driven environment Experience working with healthcare or insurance platforms such as NICE, OnBase, FEPDirect, Advance Capture, or similar customer service systems.
