HEIGHTS en Español Associate Pastor The Heights in Spanish Associate Pastor will be responsible for supporting the Heights in Spanish Pastor in the planning, execution, supervision of the vision for this ministry with a special emphasis in the day to day operation of its current ministries. Spanish is the primary language for this position, though English proficiency is required for communication and collaboration within the wider church team. QUALIFICATIONS Model a Growing and Vibrant Relationship with Christ Pursue full devotion to Christ and live the life we are inviting others to live Manifest the fruit of the Spirit in work habits and relationships Pursue spiritual growth through community and a consistent, fruitful devotional life Embody other-centered, servant-leadership in all interactions Reflect Christ’s heart for reaching spiritually lost people Live out the 5G’s as Distinctive Marks of a Disciple Grace – Saved by grace in Jesus (Romans 5:8-9) Gather – Community through worship & Life Groups (Hebrews 10:24-25) Grow – Being and becoming like Jesus through his word and prayer (John 15:4-5) Give – Time, talent & treasures (2 Corinthians 9:6-7) Go – Make disciples who make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20) Embody the values of CEOS Champion Others Above Ourselves Equip & Encourage People Operate Out of Calling Spiritually Awake Individuals Demonstrate Commitment to The Heights Church Pursue church membership and become a stakeholder Be an active, engaged participant at weekend services and in a Life Group Serve at church-wide, all-skate events Accept and uphold The Heights irreducible minimum beliefs (What We Believe) RESPONSIBILITIES Lead HIS Care Ministries (e.g. RE-Engage, Celebrate Recovery, Financial Peace U) Oversee the implementation and ongoing health of each ministry in collaboration with HIS Lead Pastor Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer leaders Track participation, attendance and provide follow up Provide Administrative Leadership and Supervision for HIS Life Groups Plan and assign the calendar in collaboration with HIS Lead pastor Supervise and assign the curriculum Supervise and pastor the Teachers & Directors Team Integral part of Hospitality and Connections Ministries for HIS Supervise and lead the hospitality efforts with team leaders Leading events like Guest and Membership gatherings Collaborative Preaching for HIS Evaluate the preaching calendar in collaboration with the Lead Pastor of HIS, Preach occasionally on Sunday’s and other settings Evaluate and review sermons weekly in collaboration with HIS Lead Pastor and Lay Leaders Provide congregational pastoral care In collaboration with the general pastoral team, visit and shepherd the congregation Weekly visit to hospitals Ensure Accurate, Timely Response to Communication Requests (Phone or Email) Manage email, voicemail, and communication requests in a timely, thorough manner not to exceed 1 week Build trust by maintaining confidentiality of information Respond to all communication with professionalism, discretion, and a service orientation CULTURE Serve as a Fantastic Teammate to Peers on the Staff Team Demonstrate loyalty to Ministers and teammates in action and word Pursue and uphold relational unity with teammates Make assists for teammates to facilitate department-wide wins Place the team agenda before your own agenda Uphold the six commitments of trust and trustworthiness Maintain conflict and confidentiality standards Demonstrate a Commitment to Growth Receive and apply training and development from the Ministers Attend department and all-staff meetings Assist Church-wide Admin Responsibilities & Reception Desk as Needed Warmly Welcome and Serve Staff and Guests Perform Other Duties and Tasks as Assigned Model Servant Leadership and Exhibit a Helpful, Joyful Attitude RELATIONSHIPS Executive Pastor of Operations: The HIS Associate Pastor reports directly to the HIS Lead Pastor who in turn reports to the Executive Operations Pastor. He is expected to be coachable, available, and responsive to him while striving for a healthy, Christ-like relationship characterized by love, truth, and unity. HIS Lead Pastor: The HIS Associate Pastor reports directly to the HIS Lead Pastor. Pastoral Staff: The HIS Associate Pastor collaborates with other members of the Pastoral Staff, serves as a resource and encouragement to them, and partners with them effectively to achieve maximum kingdom impact. HIS Worship and Media Director: The HIS Associate Pastor embodies and exhibits servant leadership in all interactions with HIS Worship and Media Director, envisioning, equipping, and empowering him to make the greatest kingdom impact possible. HIS Administrative Assistant: The HIS Associate Pastor embodies and exhibits servant leadership in all interactions with HIS Administrative Assistant, envisioning, equipping, and empowering her to make the greatest kingdom impact possible. The Heights Staff: The HIS Associate Pastor collaborates with other members of The Heights Staff, serves as a resource and encouragement to them, and partners with them effectively to achieve maximum kingdom impact.
