Facility Supervisor - Sortrak 1st Shift

Position Overview This position is responsible for supporting all DC and/or MFG activities to ensure the shift(s) run as efficiently, safely, and productively as possible. It guarantees that daily work is planned, executed, and completed per facility standards and demonstrates effective leadership of the DC or MFG team or shift. The role typically supervises a team accountable for receiving, unloading, recording, arranging, routing, transporting, stocking of materials and products, picking, value-added services, and order fulfillment. It ensures operations, quality, service, cost, administration, and system metrics and KPI are achieved, provides training and morale management, and may assist with inventory record verification and onboarding of new team members. Principal Accountabilities 30% of Time: Plans and prioritizes workflow for the shift to create the sense of urgency needed to ensure all Customer Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met; promotes the highest level of expectations for achieving established standards in Safety, Quality, and Productivity. 10% of Time: Maintains Kronos, evaluates and edits incentive pay communications, monitors attendance, and develops staffing schedules. 20% of Time: Contributes to interviewing, selecting, onboarding, training, motivating, and performance management of shift team members. 10% of Time: Provides leadership and oversight to shift team to ensure highest level of employee performance and morale while driving continuous improvement and managing change; promotes a learning environment by implementing and assessing systems and processes to improve workflow. 15% of Time: Drives process improvement through Lean concepts and problem-solving techniques; assures team members are sufficiently trained and cross-trained. 10% of Time: Produces shift reports as required. Assesses shift work flows for stretch capacity requirements through coordinating staffing to meet increased or decreased workloads to maximize efficiencies and reduce cost during volatile demand swings across any/all shifts. 5% of Time: Interaction with Stakeholders and Resources: Interact with internal and external stakeholders to assure shift performance and deliverables are achieved; keeps facility manager and management team apprised of project/workflow status; proactively implements course-correction actions to avoid delays or underachievement. Education, Skills and Competencies Education/Certification Required: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Four-year degree in related field, e.g., Business, Engineering, or Logistics/Supply Chain Management. Years of Experience Required: Entry level supervisory position; no prior experience required. Preferred: 2 years comparable work experience (definable as duties of a leader in a similarly titled role, budgeting, financial analysis, or productivity measurement/monitoring). Knowledge, Skills and Experience DC or MFG operations and equipment experience a plus. General leadership experience in a DC or MFG facility. Familiarity with WMS (Manhattan Software PkMS).
