Senior Research Support Associate

SENIOR RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSOCIATE – Biology – Weissbourd Lab To support ongoing projects with contributions ranging from wet lab work to computational expertise, engineering, and other fields. Examples include: Laboratory experiments: microscopy, molecular biology (cloning, RNA extraction, etc), behavior experiments, generating transgenic jellyfish by microinjection of oocytes. Computational biology: developing imaging processing pipelines to accompany new microscopes being built; solving machine vision problems for behavior tracking; analysis and modelling of neural activity and/or behavior data. Engineering: building novel microscopy and/or behavior recording setups. Requirements: High school diploma; a minimum of two years of laboratory experience, including experience with aquaculture. Ability to work independently, and to work well as part of a team. Strong work ethic, excellent organizational and communication skills. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Biology/neuroscience, Computer science, engineering, or closely related field. Some weekend/holiday work may be required.
