Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or related field, with preferred experience in educational technology integration. Must possess or be eligible for relevant professional certifications, such as the North Carolina Teaching Endorsement in K-12 Computer Education or Instructional Technology Specialist-Computers. A current and valid North Carolina teaching license.

The Instructional Technology Specialist leads the integration of technology in educational settings through coaching, mentoring, and support, aligning efforts with NC standards and current educational best practices. This role involves leading, supporting, and pioneering the integration of digital tools and learning models to enhance instruction and student achievement by empowering educators through a coaching framework. • Provide ongoing coaching and support for educators to support the sustainability of technology integration and practices through professional learning communities (PLC) or one-on-one coaching.
• Design and deliver tech-focused professional learning to improve instruction and student outcomes.
• Collaborate with school and district leadership to implement a strategic digital learning vision aligned with NC Standards and the NC Digital Learning Plan, and digital citizenship across the curriculum.
• Support the creation of technology-enriched, standards-based lessons that build creativity, problem-solving, and digital literacy.
• Oversee school-based technology inventory, ensuring accurate tracking, deployment, and maintenance of devices.
• Ability to perform non-instructional duties as assigned.

This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force. Work regularly requires speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions, frequently requires sitting and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling and lifting. Work has standard vision requirements. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
