K-12 Head Cook for Miller Schools

Lead Cook Position

Taher, Inc is growing and is looking for a Lead Cook to join our Elementary School team!

Essential Functions:

• Following standardized recipes and writing menus
• Ensuring all meals meet quality standards, are correctly prepared and within acceptable time limits
• Managing ordering, receiving, storing and inventory control of all perishable products following specific procedures and HACCP standards
• Reinforcing USDA regulations
• Conducting cost control analysis while monitoring product and menu costs
• Controlling waste and effectively managing cost and budget performance
• Using time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership

Previous experience in a similar role preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to teach, train and direct a team

Good computer skills

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods of time
