I&E Superintendent

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Superintendent to lead our I&E team. This role is critical to maximizing operational value and driving a strong safety culture.

Reporting to the Refinery Services Manager, you will:

• Lead and develop a team of front‑line supervisors and a crew of approximately 40 craftspeople
• Identify and act on opportunities to increase value generation
• Partner with technical specialists to bring additional expertise and drive operational performance
• Build and maintain an effective, safety‑first culture
• Coach people and provide development opportunities to enable high performance
• Own efficient, effective problem‑solving, decision‑making, and action at the appropriate levels
• Instill a culture of employee ownership in facility care and operation

What You’ll Bring

Required:

• A combination of relevant technical skills and experience will be considered; a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred
• Supervision or operations experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments
• Leadership experience in a fast‑paced setting
• Ability to work effectively in multi‑functional and multi‑disciplinary teams
• Strong communication and leadership skills to manage a technical team
• Solid knowledge of electricity and instrumentation
• Experience with control systems (PLC, HMI, Drives, SCADA)
• Commitment to continuous improvement and team performance

Soft Skills:

• Ability to articulate technical concepts to personnel at all levels
• Leadership, autonomy, flexibility, decisiveness, strong communication

Preferred (assets):

• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations (e.g., MSHA, OSHA)
• Experience in mining, metals, or heavy industrial processing
