Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level 1 trauma surgical services department requiring NBSTSA certification and at least 3 years of inpatient surgery experience.

Details

• Level 1 trauma hospital surgical services department with 22 operating rooms staffed 24/7
• Covers general, gyn, GU, oral, oto, bariatric, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatric, trauma, and spine services
• 36-hour day/night rotation with shift lengths of 8, 10, or 12 hours and start times of 7a, 7p, or 11p
• Every third weekend as needed with every other holiday coverage
• One call shift per scheduling period
• May float to other OR campuses if needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient surgery experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• NBSTSA certification required (no other certifying body accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Must be competent in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties
• Excellent communication skills and a flexible, positive attitude required
• Active MA state license required if applicable
• Graduated from an accredited surgical technology program per MA state requirements

• Positive, flexible team member able to work across multiple surgical specialties
• Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible for this travel assignment
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
