Benefits 401(k) matching Competitive salary Paid time off Company: TBI Unlimited, LLC Industry: Landscaping & Outdoor Services Location: Bridgeton, New Jersey Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary TBI Unlimited is seeking a dependable and motivated Mechanic Assistant to support the maintenance and repair of landscaping equipment and company vehicles. This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on mechanical experience who enjoys working in a fast‑paced outdoor service environment. The Mechanic Assistant will help inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of equipment including small engines, gas‑duty trucks, and small diesel equipment to ensure the fleet and tools remain safe and operational. Responsibilities Assist with maintenance and repair of: Small engine equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, etc.) Gas‑duty trucks and trailers Small diesel equipment Perform routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, filters, belts, blades, and fluid checks. Diagnose mechanical issues and assist with repairs. Assist with loading/unloading and transporting equipment when needed. Follow all company safety procedures and standards. Requirements Experience working on small engine equipment required Experience servicing gas‑duty trucks required Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Valid driver’s license Reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varied weather conditions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or fleet maintenance Knowledge of small diesel equipment maintenance and repair preferred Welding or fabrication experience is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience (minimum salary 44k based on a 40‑hour work week) 401k benefits after 1 year of employment 64 hours of PTO and paid major holidays Subsidized Healthcare Opportunities for Advancement Full‑time, year‑round work Supportive team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr TBI UNLIMITED LLC
