Website Product Owner

Summary The Product Owner is responsible for the management and development of complex features on the Ryder corporate website. This person owns the vision for their product and utilizes written and oral communication and team building skills to successfully deliver features and socialize the product. The ideal candidate has experience ideating, creating, and executing digital/software projects. Historically the product owner on an Agile team, they know Scrum processes and ceremonies and have created vision through epics, features, and stories, functioned with acceptance criteria, and worked with the product team to meet the definition of done. Act as the proxy for the customer: advocate for the customer and ensure their target market is heard. Be great at communicating: clearly and effectively to leadership, stakeholders, and technical resources, asserting opinions while allowing others to contribute. Be passionate about the product: continually seek inspiration and drive others to support the product. Focus on data: use data to improve the product and justify features. Business oriented: link user actions to company revenue. Detail and strategy: set product vision and manage a working backlog while guiding through strategic roadmap. Essential Functions Develop, launch, and support new features on the Ryder corporate website. Coordinate launch of features or capabilities for Ryder’s business units and facilitate cross-functional collaboration to grow revenues and deliver value to users and customers. Become a subject matter specialist on Ryder users and customers, translating their needs into epics, features, user stories, and deliverables for a positive, user‑centric experience. Work with data analysts to produce meaningful insights about the product, customers, and business units. Drive AI innovation and adoption at Ryder through the product and product team. Skill and Abilities Lead Design Thinking activities to identify opportunities, define product strategies, and conduct competitive market analysis, customer research, capability and dependency analysis, defining objectives and key results. Evaluate, prioritize, and determine product experiences to build, identifying core user stories that deliver optimal value and establishing shared stakeholder understanding. Partner with product design colleagues to create impactful user experiences based on target user stories, features, and specifications, using interactive prototypes and lean practices. Partner with data colleagues to identify the role of data and intelligence in the digital product, defining tactical and strategic opportunities for the roadmap. Partner with technology teams to identify platform and cloud capabilities required to support product innovation, working closely throughout build, test, and release. Tell compelling stories that deliver insights about people and behavior both verbally and visually, generating empathy, emotion, and engagement. Knowledge of Content Management Systems: Intermediate Required. Knowledge of Azure DevOps for Backlog Management: Beginner Required. Knowledge of Mural for Diagrams: Beginner Preferred. Knowledge of AI Assistants & AI Assisted Coding: Beginner Required. Knowledge of M365 Copilot & GitHub Copilot: Beginner Preferred. Knowledge of Office 365 Applications: Intermediate Preferred. Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle: Intermediate Required. Knowledge of Optimizely CMS: Beginner Required. Knowledge of BDD & Gherkin: Beginner Required. Knowledge of Scrum Practices: Intermediate Required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or equivalent. Master's degree preferred (MBA, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or equivalent). Four or more years of experience in product management, digital transformation, solution design, business planning, strategy development, competitive analysis, and financial analysis. Six or more years of experience in logistics, operations, engineering, agile development, or solution development, with demonstrated experience in new product development and understanding of commercial implications. Knowledge of supply chain management and third party logistics industries.
