Haleakalā Waldorf School is seeking an experienced educator to join our Grades 1–5 team beginning July 2025.
We are looking for an educator who demonstrates excellence in teaching; a commitment to educational equity and anti-racism; strong communication and collaboration skills; and a deep respect for Hawaiʻi’s culture and sense of place. The ideal candidate is passionate about guiding children and families through experiential, hands-on learning as part of a dynamic Grades faculty team.
This full-time position is based on our Kealahou Campus in Upcountry Kula, Maui, a rural, plantation-era campus on the slopes of Haleakalā, surrounded by gardens, open pasture, and sweeping ocean views. Hawaiian culture is woven throughout school life, including chants, songs, festivals, and place-based learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience as a Class Teacher
- Experience with outdoor education and Hawaiian sense of place helpful
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time, exempt faculty position
- Salary range: $47,000–$68,000, based on experience and training
- Full benefits including medical, dental, and 401(k)
