By joining the Middle Office team, you will use advanced technology and critical thinking to challenge the status quo and drive results.The Chares River Development Middle Office team is looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst who will be responsible for working with clients and development to create solutions to improve the client experience, the product feature set, and the strategic position of the CRD Investment Management System.The Senior Business Analyst will become a Charles River product expert and help to ensure that our software products effectively aid our end users with their trading and front office workflows. In consultation with our financial industry clients and internal product teams, they will utilize business and technical knowledge to improve product performance and competitive advantages.The Senior Business Analyst will work on enhancing product onboarding and conversion; designing and developing automation to streamline data readiness.participating in the full software development lifecycle and contributing as a member of a feature-focused product development teamThey must be familiar with both financial and technical concepts, with a strong ability to deliver against specific requirement in a timely fashion on a project by project basis.Responsibilities:Apply detailed knowledge of business requirements and workflows to assist in product developmentResearch and produce business and technical requirement documentsProvide product expertise support to various internal parties to ensure the product meets customer expectationsWork directly with customers and product management team to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications; involvement in all aspects of the software product life cyclePartner with development to help develop, implement, and refine featuresPlan and schedule validation tasks; provide hands-on manual tests; develop verification plans and processesProvide feedback on product performanceReview documentation to ensure accurate and complete documentationProvide client beta testing support and train personnel on capabilities of new product releasesAssist with the management of project schedules and deliverablesAssist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issuesActively participate in the Agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum Methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.Participate in group testing activities as needed.Requirements:10+ years of software development lifecycle experience, particularly Agile methodologies preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skillsAdvanced writing skills, including the ability to abstract/summarize highly detailed informationStrong analytical skills, including the ability to reconcile conflicting dataAbility to translate customer business needs into application requirementsStrong technical backgroundExperience with middle office investment management functionsDemonstrated planning and scheduling skillsExperience and curiosity and interest in financial markets, trading, and instrument lifecycles. Demonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical product specification documentsKnowledgeable in one or more CRD functional financial areas strongly desired.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail.,Education: BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or study of Business with an MIS background. MS/MBA degree strongly preferredSalary Range: $120,000 - $202,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
