As an Assembly Technician at NRG Technologies, you will play a hands-on role in assembling, building, and testing high-spec oilfield products and components—including heavy-duty pumps, fluid ends, and flow line products. You will use blueprints, schematics, and precision tools to build reliable, high-performing systems while upholding our rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Assembly Prep: Thoroughly review work instructions, engineering drawings, and schematics prior to starting assembly tasks. Gather and verify required parts, components, and tools.
• Mechanical & Hydraulic Assembly: Assemble complex mechanical, fluid, and flow line components using precision hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power equipment in according to technical schematics.
• Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect components throughout the build process. Perform functional testing on finished assemblies to verify they meet strict OEM specifications and safety standards.
• Documentation & Inventory: Accurately log completed steps, track inventory usage, complete required quality paperwork, and promptly report material discrepancies or defects.
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation. Strictly follow company safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• General: Perform other production, shop, or build-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum 1+ years of assembly or manufacturing experience required. Experience in the Oil & Gas, heavy equipment, or hydraulic systems industry is strongly preferred.
• Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical acumen with the ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, diagrams, and electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• Communication & Soft Skills: Fluent in English (written and verbal) with strong communication skills. Must be a self-motivated, action-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
• Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail with a commitment to build precision and quality craftsmanship.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach for 8 to 10 hours per day. Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs.
• Shop Environment: Duties are primarily performed in a high-energy production shop environment with occasional outdoor shop-yard exposure.
• Sensory Demands: Requires close visual acuity for detailed assembly and inspection tasks. Strong hearing ability to operate safely around equipment and communicate with team members.
• Conditions & PPE: Comfort working around variable noise levels, contaminants, and heavy machinery. Ability to tolerate noise exposure while wearing earplugs and other required PPE in designated shop areas.
