This position offers a rare balance of over-the-road transport and hands‑on equipment operation on high‑stakes government infrastructure projects. How You Will Make An Impact Mobilize heavy machinery and construction supplies to active jobsites during very early morning hours. Load commercial trucks safely with dirt, aggregate materials, and heavy equipment. Operate a diverse fleet of construction equipment and tractors to support multi‑trade field crews. Perform material pickups from regional suppliers and vendors to maintain strict daily timelines. Transition seamlessly between driving commercial transport vehicles and operating on‑site machinery. Execute pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections to uphold zero‑accident safety standards. Collaborate closely with site superintendents and foremen to streamline daily project logistics. Required Qualifications & Experience 10 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator or commercial truck driver. Possession of a valid Class A CDL with a completely clean driving history and zero accidents. Absolute comfort and willingness to perform both heavy equipment operation and commercial driving duties. Strong background handling site logistics, material transport, and early morning machinery mobilization. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Extensive experience operating earthmoving equipment on public school or federal jobsites. Demonstrated history transporting heavy construction equipment via low‑boy trailers. Proven ability to safely navigate active civil construction, utility, and sitework environments.
