Warehouse Assistant Team Lead Manufacturing Support Job Description Revised: October 2018 Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor Department: Warehouse Location: Carlsbad, CA Pay Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing warehouse projects, completion of daily tasks, coordinating work flow and managing the day-to-day operations of their assigned group, ensuring everyone is performing as required. Must complete all applicable SOP and QA trainings.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)

• Warehouse Manufacturing Support requirements completed (limited paperwork duties)
• Warehouse Picker requirements completed (limited paperwork duties)
• Warehouse Shipping and Receiving requirements completed (limited paperwork duties Trouble shoot blends to manufacturing)
• Effectively lead warehouse staff
• Plan shift - man power, objectives
• Train Staff
• Complete root cause analysis as requested
• Assist the team to accomplish the daily tasks.
• Maintain team focused on daily objectives
• Perform weekly safety/GMP warehouse audits and implement corrective actions
• Audit, enforce and promote warehouse safety rules and procedures
• Deliver SOP, Safety, and heavy equipment training as per training matrix
• Monitor, enforce and update standard operating procedures.
• Operate all types of heavy equipment
• Monitor warehouse storage and housekeeping status.
• Coordinate workflow to accomplish overall business objectives.
• Segregate the warehouse full pick list by blending date.
• Update warehouse production board.
• Coordinate and ensure completion of warehouse full pick list one day prior to blend date.
• Assist in picking and verifying items for blending.
• Assist with inverting, wrapping and put-away.
• Monitor packaging, pallets and gowning inventory levels in a weekly basis to avoiding out-of-stock situations.
• Monitor and schedule swaps for trash compactor and recycling bins.
• Move in or remove items from GNWR.
• Coordinate the disposal of overages and deficient materials.
• Reply to e-mails and radio calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Efficiently execute SAP transactions related to product movement, searching, and correcting inventory issues.
• Monitor and correct issue in the Warehouse Management section in SAP
• Issue, submit and finalize MDR's related to damage.
• Perform driving duties as needed.
• Print and input cycle counts as needed
• Assist and load carriers Bin-to-bin inbound freight
• Regular Attendance is an essential function of this position.

• Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team.
• Coordinate workflow to accomplish overall business objectives.

• Work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities (If relevant) Help train and develop employees. Facilitate problem solving and collaboration. Intervene when necessary to aid the group in resolving issues. Motivate and inspire team members. Facilitate audits, tours and onboarding training. Recognize and celebrate team and team member's accomplishments and exceptional performance. Provide daily status reports to manager. Support the manager by assisting the monitoring of attendance/tardiness and provide input for performance appraisals of warehouse employees. Cover other shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) as needed.

• Promote and enforce to achieve zero recordable injuries in the warehouse.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education, Training: High School Diploma or GED Preferred

Experience Required: 2+ years of previous warehouse experience Clean DMV record with valid driver's license 1-2 years of Warehouse Assistant II role experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to lift 25kg containers consistently. Standup reach and sit-down forklift experience required. Leadership and motivational skills. Problem solving skills. Clear communication skills written and verbal. Coordinates communications, meetings, and activities among multiple groups or organizations. Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form. Ability to work with allergen products (peanuts, soy, dairy, etc.) Must be able to work in a team environment & possess team-based problem solving skills. Be able to effectively plan, organize, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environments. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel with the utmost professionalism. Ability to work in fast paced deadline orientated environment Ability to follow direction and work with S.O.P.'s. Experience and ability to operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift. Decision-making and analytical skills Must be detail orientated and able to read words and numbers. Must be results focused and oriented toward accomplishment of team goals.
