Payroll Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations, ensure compliance, and lead a team of payroll professionals. Responsibilities Manage accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3+ payroll professionals. Serve as a payroll subject matter expert for tax compliance, audits, reporting, and reconciliations. Partner with Accounting and Finance on payroll and general ledger activities. Review and improve payroll processes, internal controls, and workflows. Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency. Requirements Strong payroll management experience with hands-on UKG experience. Strong knowledge of California labor and employment laws; Hawaii and Oregon knowledge is a plus. Experience leading and developing payroll teams. Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance. Proven ability to improve processes and drive operational efficiencies. Schedule: Hybrid – 2 days onsite in San Rafael, CA / 3 days remote Strong payroll management experience with hands-on UKG experience. Strong knowledge of California labor and employment laws; Hawaii and Oregon knowledge is a plus. Experience leading and developing payroll teams.
