Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 6 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: Epic Experience Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a telemetry unit. This position involves caring for patients with various diagnoses including COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, UTI, and cancer. Experience in telemetry, trach care, peg care, foley management, central line care, medication administration, patient assessments, and nursing care plans is required. Responsibility includes O2 management, IV management, and NGT care. Candidates must be proficient in reading telemetry strips as centralized monitoring is available. Charge Nurse responsibilities include taking an assignment. There are Nurse Aides on the unit with a ratio of 1:15. The unit utilizes CPAP and BiPAP equipment. Self-scheduling is available, and block scheduling is permitted. Weekend requirements include 8-9 shifts every 6 weeks. Holiday requirements include 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday. There may be a floating requirement to other facilities as needed. The scrub color is navy, with undershirts required to be navy as well. Oncology experience is beneficial, but not required. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shift cancellations for assignments longer than 13 weeks. Charting is done using MEDITECH.
