Job Title

Below duties are required, additional duties can be added and required.

Uses micrometer to determine ribbon thickness contour.

Uses ream comparator to check ream.

Measures distortion visually with the use of a zebra board or pattern comparison test equipment.

Uses striae scope photographic equipment to evaluate transmitted distortion.

Uses spectrophotometer to measure transmittance and color characteristics of glass.

Uses furnace to glass bending to check bloom.

Uses glossmeter to check the "W" coverage.

Check top tin using baby powder.

Check warp using a taper gage and surface plate.

Weighs ribbon section of glass used in the calculation of tons per day.

Check 40" caps for seeds.

Complete surface checks using edge lights, green lights, reflective lights, transmitted lights or other designated lighting to prevent the shipment of reject quality to customers.

Uses a scum chamber to test of tin surface for irregularities.

Requires:

Must have a high school education.

Must have adequate working knowledge of mathematics, must have mental ability to obtain working knowledge of all equipment used and must in tactful and courteous in dealing with production personnel.
