Education and Experience A Bachelor’s Degree in Music or Music Education or related field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. One to three years of high school teaching experience, or applicable practicum/related program, is preferred. Possession of New Hampshire state certification in appropriate subject area and/or the ability to work toward state certification. Job Summary and Expectations assumes responsibility for the leadership and management of the classes they are assigned, including, but not limited to, music appreciation, music theory, fundamentals of piano, and/or guitar. lead and teach repertoire to the concert band, concert choir, jazz band, and chamber choir. strives to achieve the goals of the St. Thomas Aquinas Mission Statement, the Catholic faith and values by leading the school’s music ministry program. develops and implements a daily instructional program according to the needs of the students and the established curriculum. recognizes and incorporates the rich diversity of the students in the classroom and their unique God-given talents. maintains accurate records of attendance, scholastic achievement, etc. as required by the school, diocese, and state. establishes positive public relations within and outside the school community. commits to ongoing professional learning and growth.
