AI & Emerging Tech Specialist, Emerging Technology Location: Jessup, Maryland; Arlington, Virginia; Herndon, Virginia, USA Responsibilities: Develop and expand relationships with new AI and emerging technology customers within the U.S. Defense and Intelligence community. Identify mission-driven use cases for generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning at the edge, quantum computing, and other emerging technologies. Serve as a subject matter expert on AI, foundation models, AWS AI services, and emerging technology solutions. Work closely with customer executives, mission owners, and technical teams to understand mission requirements, existing architectures, and future technology roadmaps. Promote AWS AI, analytics, data, and quantum services that improve mission outcomes. Negotiate and close complex AI and emerging technology opportunities across multiple government agencies. Collaborate with AWS account teams, engineering teams, professional services, and technical program managers to align customer requirements with AWS solutions. Represent customer feedback to internal product teams and help define feature requests, regional availability requirements, and mission-specific use cases. Support marketing and public policy initiatives that position AWS as a trusted partner for AI and emerging technologies. Build relationships with defense organizations and professional associations to strengthen AWS leadership in AI and quantum technologies. Lead customer strategy sessions and collaborate with internal stakeholders to accelerate technology adoption. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience. At least 3 years of experience in technology platform sales with knowledge of government IT, cloud computing, data centers, or cloud adoption. Experience working across technical and non-technical teams. Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance or higher. Strong communication, relationship management, and business development skills. Preferred: 5+ years of direct sales or business development experience in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives. Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Analytics Security Storage DevOps Application Development Machine Learning Experience selling AI and machine learning solutions. Ability to analyze business data and provide strategic recommendations. Experience negotiating and executing complex business agreements.
