Multicraft Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Manchester, PA • Shifts: 1st and 2nd availableA Day in the LifeYou start your shift with a safety huddle, scan the CMMS for priority work orders, and head to the line that needs attention. A conveyor is trending hot—your thermal check confirms it. You adjust, lubricate, and bring it back to spec. An hour later, you’re diagnosing a pneumatic valve that’s slowing production. By mid-day, you’re assisting with a VFD swap to improve line performance. Before clocking out, you log precise notes so the next tech has a clean handoff. That’s impact—every day.Your Core FocusOwn preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and fine-tuned adjustments to reduce unplanned downtime.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.Respond rapidly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance calls to keep production running safely and efficiently.Document work orders, parts used, and equipment history with clear, accurate records.Assist with equipment installs, modifications, testing, and commissioning.Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality to drive equipment reliability and process capability.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts; recommend practical, data-backed enhancements.Support plant shutdowns, changeovers, and special projects as needed.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; follow safety, food safety, quality, and environmental procedures.What You BringRequiredHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, food production, or similar settings.Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting capability.Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.Hands-on proficiency with hand/power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Organized, solutions-oriented, and responsive under pressure.Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.PreferredTechnical degree, apprenticeship, or vocational training in Maintenance, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or related fields.Experience with PLCs, automation systems, VFDs, robotics, and industrial controls.Skilled trade certifications (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Welding, etc.).Background in food manufacturing and knowledge of GMPs.Physical DemandsStand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb for the duration of the shift.Routinely lift and move up to 50 lbs.Work at heights and in confined spaces when required.Wear and maintain required PPE.Work EnvironmentManufacturing setting with exposure to:Moving machinery and industrial equipmentTemperature variationsNoiseIndustrial chemicalsSafety comes first—every task follows company safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay: $25–$35/hrComprehensive benefits packageCareer growth and development opportunitiesStable manufacturing environmentTeam-oriented cultureDirect impact on plant performanceTechnical ProficienciesHVACPLC troubleshootingPneumaticsHydraulicsElectrical troubleshooting and repairTape measure readingLockout/Tagout (LOTO)Electrical schematic readingReady to Apply?Join a growing manufacturing team in Manchester, PA, and help keep our operations at peak performance.
