Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Michigans upper peninsula. This role involves providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to cardiac and stepdown patients in a specialty care hospital, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical standards. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team in a facility known for its comprehensive services.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac and Stepdown
• Location: Michigans upper peninsula
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a weekly guaranteed 36 hours, every other weekend, call required only if census is low
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, NIH certification, 1 year of experience in PCU or stepdown units, and proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac care
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes, cardiac drips, cardiac monitoring, and stepdown patient populations; knowledge of VATS, Stroke/TIA, open heart surgery pre/post care, pacemakers, and heart blocks
• Additional Information: This unit cares for cardiac patients including trauma and post-surgical cases, utilizing telemetry monitoring and electronic health record systems (Cerner). The ideal candidate must demonstrate teamwork and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Submission Requirements: Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate experience in cardiac care, telemetry, and post-operative patient management.
