Opportunity Awaits, Apply Today! – Patient Safety & Client Care Surveyor (Client Care Surveyor) The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Health Care Regulation & Quality Improvement section is recruiting for a Patient Safety & Client Care Surveyor (Client Care Surveyor). The Client Care Surveyor plays a critical role in ensuring that all Oregonians have access to safe, high quality health care. This position supports the licensing and Medicare/Medicaid certification of designated health care providers through monitoring, inspections, consultations, investigations, and collaborative partnerships with the provider community and state and federal agencies. What We Are Looking For Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience in areas related to nursing, social work, developmental disabilities, dietetics/nutrition, or sanitation; One of the following: a Bachelor's degree in a health or human services field; or a license as a Registered Nurse. LPN certification and/or experience will not meet the minimum qualifications. Desired Attributes Experience in resolving complex issues while adhering to statutory and regulatory guidelines. Experience in addressing complex provider concerns and complaints. Experience in methods and techniques for analysis, review, interpretation, and coordination of services for a diverse range of provider types and complaint populations. Experience in conducting independent research, analyzing, and interpreting information to address problems and complaints, while making informed decisions. Experience navigating the dynamic landscape of federal and state statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures. Experience creating, promoting, welcoming, and maintaining a culturally competent and diverse work environment. Additional Details This recruitment is for one, full-time, permanent, SEIU represented, Patient Safety & Client Care Surveyor (Client Care Surveyor) position based in Portland, Oregon. Employment is contingent upon a criminal records check that meets OHA criteria at the time of hire and throughout employment. The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying range.
