Patient Dining Associate

Come join us at Parkland Health Center as a Patient Dining Associate. Daily pay available. Part time (24 hours per week) shift: (2) 12 hour shifts from 7AM-7PM. Benefits eligible. Rotating weekends and holidays. Assembling trays, delivering trays to patients.

Parkland Health Center has two locations in St. Francois County Missouri a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington as well as a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre. Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. In addition Parklands Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical and intensive care obstetrics and emergency services along with a wide variety of outpatient services including oncology services an infusion center a wound care clinic and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. Bonne Terre is a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency services and outpatient services including medical observation lab radiology and sleep study.

The Dietary Department provides support for the nutritional well being of our patients visitors guests and staff on a daily basis.

Role Purpose

Performs patient meal service for the Department of Food and Nutrition. Responsible for patient meal service on assigned units. This includes menu selections tray assembly catering rounds tray delivery and retrieval recording of intake/calorie counts special requests galley/floor stock maintenance and nourishment delivery. Communicates directly with nursing to obtain updated diet orders. Responds to patient family and nursing needs.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient meals to assigned areas documents meals and calorie intake and rounds on patients in accordance to department expectations.
• Assembles meal trays and menus in accordance to guidelines.
• Communicates patient diets delivery of meals and special requests with patient care team.
• Maintains an organized and stocked galley.
