Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while providing essential hospice care services. As an LCSW, you will work closely with healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive care delivery.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to determine patients’ psychological and emotional needs.

• Providing temperament counseling to parents navigating complex emotional landscapes.

• Leading developmental evaluations for children to assist in identifying mental health concerns early.

• Developing and maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all services provided, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

• Facilitating and leading parent support groups, creating therapeutic environments for open discussion and healing.

• Delivering tailored training for parents of children with mental health challenges, including support for those with histories of prenatal substance exposure.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients within hospice care, as well as their families. You will address complex emotional and psychological issues related to end-of-life care, focusing on enhancing their quality of life and ensuring they receive the emotional support they need during a challenging time. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with parents and children, particularly in addressing developmental and psychological needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate program is essential to meet licensing requirements.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting is required, with at least one year specifically in a mental health environment.

• Active and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) is required.

• Demonstrable knowledge of parent-child interventions, normal child development, and an understanding of the complexities surrounding child abuse and neglect.
