We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a growing organization. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing payroll-related compliance, maintaining accurate accounting records, and working across both payables and receivables. The right candidate will bring strong organizational skills, confidence using Foundation Software and Excel, and the ability to keep month-end processes on track.

Responsibilities:

• Process union-related certified payroll accurately and ensure supporting documentation is completed in accordance with applicable requirements.

• Manage invoice entry, payment scheduling, and vendor account activity to keep accounts payable current and organized.

• Oversee customer billing, cash application, and follow-up activities to maintain timely and accurate accounts receivable records.

• Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

• Prepare, track, and distribute lien waiver documentation in support of project and payment workflows.

• Assist with month-end close activities by organizing financial data, reviewing balances, and supporting reporting deadlines.

• Maintain complete and accurate bookkeeping records within Foundation Software and Excel-based schedules.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather payroll, billing, and accounting information needed for daily operations.

The salary range for this position is $30 to $35/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. • Proven experience in a bookkeeping role with hands-on responsibility for both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Working knowledge of certified payroll processing, including union payroll requirements.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations and supporting month-end close procedures.
• Familiarity with lien waivers and related construction or project-based accounting documentation.
• Proficiency with Foundation Software and strong Excel skills for tracking and reporting financial data.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple accounting tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
