Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role fosters the development of external candidates preparing for a Store Manager position, held for a limited period. Key Responsibilities Assist with recruiting, staffing, and employee development. Contribute to store merchandising, stocking, and presentation according to company standards. Manage inventory processes, including damages, markdowns, and stock levels. Ensure in-stock targets are met through proper ordering practices. Deliver excellent customer service and act as a role model for store policies and procedures. Participate in store opening and closing activities, ensure cash and security controls, and maintain a safe, clean environment. Analyze store performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely. Qualifications & Skills Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math. Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices. Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual skills may be preferred at some locations. Experience & Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. At least one year of retail experience preferred for external candidates. Competencies & Physical Requirements Strong alignment with company values and leadership potential. Ability to recruit, develop staff, and ensure compliance with policies and laws. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 40-55 pounds, and perform related tasks in a fast-paced environment.
