Machine Operator (Frame Rein Welder)/2nd# Machine Operator (Frame Rein Welder)/2nd**TEMPORARY POSITION****Job Summary**Set up, operate, or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines for metal products, components, or assemblies.**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**• Turn and press knobs and buttons or enter operating instructions into welding machines. 25% • Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies. 20% • Load or feed work pieces into welding machines to join or bond components.10% • Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices.5% • Inspect, measure, or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.20% • Record operational information on specified production reports.3% • Read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications.2% • Assemble, align, and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.10% • Other duties as assigned by Supervision.5%**Education and Experience Profile** • High school diploma or GED certificate and/or industrial experience.**Required Skills** • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. • Basic mathematical and mechanical aptitude • Willingness to learn new skills and take instruction from other team members.**Work Environment:*** Working conditions are normal for a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.* Frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, pulling, reaching, and stooping.* Must observe and adhere to all safety rules and practices, including PPE requirements.* Work boots and long pants are a requirement of this position.The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this job/classification.
