Job Description: CT Technologist performing patient identity and exam verification, coordinating with physicians for diagnostic imaging, preparing and positioning patients, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a clean and safe scanning facility.

Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; adhere to department policy for patient safety.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures for comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary.
• Position patients, including those with limited mobility, using safe handling.
• Maintain accurate records in EPIC and ensure images are correctly sent to the PACS system.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements:

• Injection therapy certification on NYS license at submission.
• Completion of formal training at an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Must maintain ARRT certification.
• NYS licensure (must obtain before starting).
• Two years of CT experience.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS (American Heart Association only).
