Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Varied 12-hour shifts with an On Call schedule to be determined by the facility. Weekend schedule will also be determined by the facility.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will perform comprehensive assessments of patient respiratory status, administer respiratory treatments, and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivered. This role includes providing education to patients regarding respiratory treatments and promoting overall health and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of patient respiratory status.
• Deliver respiratory treatments based on assessed needs.
• Evaluate and document patients' responses to care.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory therapy and wellness practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute hospital setting.
• Experience working with infants and pediatrics.
• PALS certification is required.
• Other certifications required: NRP, BLS (AHA), NBRC, ACLS (AHA).
• State Licensure: Must be licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Oregon.
