At HCBTS, we set our clients up for success by providing them everything they need so that they can thrive in their recovery as well as in their everyday life.We are now seeking qualified healthcare professionals to join our team at our detox facility in Huntington Beach, CA.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDocument all nursing care provided and the client's condition/status, including but not limited to: initial nursing screening, nurse progress notes, client health questionnaire, suicide risk screening, nutritional risk screening, TB screenings, and other documentation in HCBTS's EMR system (KIPU) in a timely mannerObserve, screen/assess, and document client vital signs and withdrawal management screenings (CIWA/COWS) within your scope of practiceDocument, monitor, secure, and account for all client medications in the healthcare officeDocument and observe each client's self administration of medicationsMonitor clients reactions and respond to potential adverse events or reactionsMonitor, document, and complete client observation roundsClosely monitor, identify, and report clients who may be experiencing thoughts of self harm, harm to others and/or suicidal ideations/behaviorsPerform nursing tasks in accordance with the physician's instructions/protocolsProvide education and instructions to clients as applicableCollaborate with the clinical team to promote, facilitate, and achieve desired treatment outcomes for clientsCommunicate appropriately with full team (supervisor, coworkers, physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers)Comply with all state and company policies and guidelinesRequired Skills and ExperienceDemonstrated knowledge and ability to care for clients with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and physical health problems or conditions1 year of experience working in a detox setting (preferred)Familiarity with basic detox protocols and proceduresAbility to build rapport with clientsStrong de-escalation skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong commitment to serving clients struggling with chemical dependencyRequired Licenses/CertificationsCurrent Adult CPR/First Aid CertificationCurrent LVN or LPT License in the state of CAOur company provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or any other protected category.Throughout our interview process, if you need a reasonable accommodation due to a disability, please let us know.
