Our values and participant focus lead the way no matter what.The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is a key member of the IDT, collaborating with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement care plans and providing condition updates to the clinical team. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the COTA provides restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services to participants at the center and in their homes to maximize independence, safety, and performance of ADLs.This role is different because COTAs at WelbeHealth:Have lower patient volumes – no more seeing 3-4 patients an hourForm long-term relationships with participants rather than short-term rehab stintsCollaborate with other therapists, providers, and disciplinesHave work/life balance - no after hours of documentationWe care about our team members. That's why we offer:Medical insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)Work/life balance - We mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days401K savings + matchComprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonusUnlimited CEUs through MedBridgeAnd additional benefits!On the day-to-day, you will:Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Occupational TherapistAssist the Occupational Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testingCoordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on participants' individual treatment plansHandle scheduling of participants' treatments, clinical visits, and billingDocument occupational therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to the use of devices, techniques, and activities to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance, and endurance, and other factors affecting independence in performing ADLsJob requirements include:Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) associate's degree from an accredited programValid California OTA license, or proof of license eligibilityOTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needsWe are seeking COTAs that ideally have outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing experience.
