3x12-Hour Shifts, Days (07:00 - 19:30), Every Other Weekend, Holidays as needed

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including palliative and end-of-life care, psychiatric observation, and diabetes management. The nurse will work in a telemetry-capable unit and must successfully pass an EKG exam during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage and interpret telemetry data.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Assist in the management of respiratory conditions and general medical-surgical diagnoses.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health conditions and management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• Active RN license.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic charting system is required.
