How you’ll make an impact in this role Serve as the primary circulator for high‑acuity emergency surgeries, including exploratory laparotomies, craniotomies, and vascular repairs; manage the rapid mobilization of specialized equipment, blood products, and "trauma‑ready" instrumentation. Lead the surgical "Time Out" and maintain vigilant oversight of the sterile field, ensuring strict adherence to AORN standards for patient positioning, skin integrity, and complex sponge/instrument counts during high‑velocity, multisystem procedures. Partner seamlessly with trauma surgeons, anesthesiologists, and scrub technologists to stabilize critically injured patients; expertly manage intraoperative life‑support technologies, including cell‑savers, rapid infusers, and advanced physiological monitoring. Execute meticulous real‑time documentation of surgical events, implant usage, and medication administration within the Electronic Health Record (EHR); ensure all regulatory standards for a Level 2 trauma facility and Joint Commission readiness are consistently met. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
