Heartline Staffing is recruiting an experienced Principal Compensation Consultant for a senior-level consulting opportunity with a global professional services organization in Houston, Texas.

This position is ideal for an established compensation consulting professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges, advising senior executives, leading client engagements, and developing innovative compensation strategies that help organizations attract, retain, and motivate talent.

We're looking for someone who brings deep compensation expertise along with strong client relationship management, analytical capabilities, and the ability to lead complex consulting engagements. You'll have the opportunity to work with sophisticated organizations, guide project teams, and contribute to business development while helping clients make informed compensation decisions.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Principal Compensation Consultant will lead large-scale compensation consulting engagements, develop strategic compensation solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and HR leaders. This role combines technical compensation expertise, project leadership, client advisory responsibilities, and business development.

ROLE
• Lead Complex Compensation Consulting Projects From Initial Assessment Through Delivery
• Structure, Direct, Review, And Interpret Analyses Completed By Consulting Project Teams
• Develop Compensation Strategies, Philosophies, And Programs Supporting Talent Attraction And Retention
• Advise Senior Executives And HR Leaders On Compensation Strategy, Pay Structures, And Market Competitiveness
• Lead Job Architecture Design And Support Technology-Enabled Implementation Of Compensation Solutions
• Design And Evaluate Incentive Compensation Programs
• Apply Compensation Market Analysis Methodologies And Regulatory Compliance Knowledge
• Manage Day-To-Day Client Relationships And Serve As A Trusted Compensation Advisor
• Provide Technical Guidance, Coaching, And Oversight To Junior Consulting Team Members
• Ensure High-Quality Client Deliverables Across Multiple Complex Engagements
• Support Business Development Through New Client Relationships, Expanded Engagements, And Cross-Selling Opportunities
• Leverage Technology-Enabled And AI Tools To Enhance Consulting And Analytical Work

COMPENSATION
• Annual Salary: $131,000-$200,000

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree In Business, Human Resources, Finance, Or A Related Field REQUIRED
• 8+ Years Of Compensation Consulting Experience With Demonstrated Subject Matter Expertise REQUIRED
• Proven Experience Managing Multiple Large-Scale Compensation Consulting Projects And Complex Client Engagements REQUIRED
• Deep Knowledge Of Compensation Strategy, Pay Structures, And Market Competitiveness REQUIRED
• Experience With Incentive Compensation Plan Design REQUIRED
• Knowledge Of Compensation-Related Technology And Market Analysis Methodologies REQUIRED
• Strong Understanding Of Compensation Regulatory Compliance REQUIRED
• Experience Advising Senior Executives And Managing Client Relationships REQUIRED
• Excellent Communication, Presentation, And Leadership Skills REQUIRED
• Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And PowerPoint REQUIRED
• Ability To Coach And Provide Guidance To Consulting Team Members REQUIRED
