Research & Development Senior Analyst

The Research & Development Senior Analyst leads efforts in all areas of Research & Development, including but not limited to product management activities, analyses of member and/or consumer demographics, analyses and research of new/existing products and services, and identification of opportunities based on market trends and business case analysis. Ensures integrity and accuracy of data gathering and reporting and communicates results in an informative and effective manner.

Responsibilities

1. Leads the strategy, planning, delivery, marketing and in-life optimization of products and services such as deposit accounts, loyalty program and fee programs.
2. Recommends the strategy for present and future products by reviewing customers' needs, market landscape, industry trends, and product requirements. Develops plans that improve and enhance products to drive increased market penetration and cross-sell opportunities.
3. Leads quantitative and qualitative analysis of new product/service ideas and/or new product/service ideas changes including financial impact of recommended opportunities.
4. Collaborates with Manager of Research & Development or leads product management including but not limited to product planning, execution, performance tracking and reporting, evaluation, and product retirement.
5. Conducts, leads, and supports the analysis, reporting, and monitoring of product metrics to track performance and areas of improvements (including financials, member satisfaction, customer expectations, market requirements, and key performance metrics).
6. Interprets insights from product metric reports and develops recommendations that drive business decisions and growth.
7. Leads key projects initiated by the department and the Credit Union.
8. Leads and participates in cross-functional project teams; coordinates and collaborates with different business areas on the execution of product and/or service opportunities.
9. Works with leaders and peers to prepare recommendations for management using business case analysis to quantify the strategic and financial benefits for innovations that merit further development.
10. Conducts quantitative and qualitative review of member relationships by conducting analyses of the Credit Union's programs, member demographics, and member preferences.
11. Conducts stakeholder interviews to acquire requirements, works with business partners to obtain data, and validates data from different sources.
12. Conducts market research to identify trends in products (i.e. pricing), delivery channels, best practices, and consumer preferences related to the financial services industry.
13. Provides competitive analysis and recommendations based on market offerings, pricing, and trends.
14. Runs queries, produces reports, and analyzes data from multiple sources (i.e., data warehouse, third-party peer data systems, etc.).
15. Reviews scorecard performance metrics to ensure alignment with the corporate strategy; implements structural updates to scorecards; updates and validates data for accuracy; reports on the results.
16. Assists with ad-hoc surveys; designs workflows, tests and validates workflow, deploys and analyzes surveys, and reports survey results.
17. Assists with internal survey processes; tests and validates workflow, deploys and analyzes surveys, and reports survey results.
18. Services as a back-up for member surveys, including deployment, analysis, and reporting.
19. Works with peers and leadership from different functions and has an impact across the department.

Qualifications

Education

• Min/Preferred: Minimum
• Education Level: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
• Description: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Organizational Development or related disciplines

Experience

• Minimum Years of Experience: 4-6
• Preferred Years of Experience:
• Six years of relevant experience in research, data analysis, data mining or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum of four years' experience in product management, operations and/or marketing, preferably with credit unions.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability

• Strong proficiency with the Microsoft suite of office products; strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and application of analytical formulas.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with tools and applications commonly used in data analysis such as, Tableau, Python, Jupyter, R, and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of SQL preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze and synthesize diverse and large sets of data; applying statistical techniques to interpret and visualize data and produce substantiated recommendations.
• Experience in product management, marketing, and/or operations with an understanding of the business acumen to manage products.
• Familiarity or experience with agile methodology.
• Extensive knowledge of financial institution operations and systems preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with confidential data and ensure integrity of data.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to all levels of employees including management using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Own and solve complex tasks that are part of a large project and lead small projects on their own.

Pay Range

USD $83,096.00 - USD $124,644.00 /Yr.
