Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Cardiology

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and assessments for cardiovascular conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to patient needs
• Perform cardiovascular procedures as necessary
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers
• Educate patients on cardiovascular health and preventive care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in cardiology

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in Georgia
• Board certification in Cardiology or relevant experience
• Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Experience in patient management software preferred

Schedule: Friday 5p-Monday 7a, 2-3 weekends per month

Setting: Inpatient

Weekend Census: 80-90 patients

Case Types: Heart failure and LVAD

Duties: Call coverage from the ED and rounding on the floor

Support Staff: Additional HF physician, APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
