Summary Operate an automatic vertical band saw to cut steel stock to specifications. Requires manufacturing experience, blueprint reading, and the ability to accurately read a tape measure to within 1/16 inch.
Essential Duties
• Operate an automatic vertical band saw to cut steel to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Maintain raw material inventory.
• Unload and store incoming steel materials.
• Operate an overhead crane and forklift.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on saw equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Manufacturing experience operating a band saw preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure to within 1/16 inch.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
