The CNA takes into consideration each resident’s ability to make own choices and having control over his/her daily lives. Weights Vital signs The CNA is responsible for charting any care given to the resident. The CNA is expected to follow the instructions issued by the physician or licensed nurse according to established policies and procedures. The CNA is responsible for assisting and serving residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort. A CNA under 18 years of age is NOT allowed to use any mechanical lift for resident care.
