Key Responsibilities of the RN - LDRP:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and recognize changes requiring intervention
• Assess vital signs, pain levels, contractions, and fetal heart rate patterns
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures and provide support during childbirth
• Care for patients during the immediate postpartum and recovery periods
• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, pediatric providers, and the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Respond appropriately to obstetric emergencies and changes in patient condition

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of LDRP/L&D nursing experience
• Active Massachusetts RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification preferred/required as applicable
• Strong knowledge of labor, delivery, postpartum, and fetal monitoring
• Experience with electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
