AGV Technician

AGV/ASRS Lead Technician $1,000.00 sign on bonus Summary Under general supervision, the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)/Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) Lead Technician oversees employees performing routine preventative maintenance and immediate repairs. The position manages overall performance of the workgroup and performs a variety of administrative duties. Responsibilities Manages all employees on shift. Oversees performance and maintenance of employees and equipment while on shift. Relays information to oncoming shift. Completes Daily Progress Reports and sends emails out to the leadership team to ensure all parties are aware of events of shift. Keeps employees engaged and working throughout shift. Ensures safety procedures and PPE are always utilized and practiced correctly. Manages timesheets for employees on shift and ensures that time is recorded and reported appropriately. Coordinates communication between employees and management (within Carson as well as RJR and other contractors). Makes final decisions on shift on repairs/processes to ensure safe, speedy, and efficient repairs are made. Performs a variety of administrative duties. Addresses performance issues and concerns through appropriate corrective/disciplinary action. Assists Manager in the completion of employee performance evaluations. Ensures all shift preventive maintenance is completed appropriately. Performs other duties as required within the scope of responsibility. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or equivalent GED required, post‑secondary certificate or Associate’s degree preferred. Basic knowledge of computer and internet software. Familiarity with software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic systems required. Prior management experience preferred. License/Certification Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must possess, or be willing to obtain, certification to meet OSHA standards. Language Skills Ability to exercise excellent communication, organization, time management and listening skills. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of an organization. Mathematical Skills Possess basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. Reasoning Ability Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Reads and interprets documents such as safety manuals, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong decision‑making skills. Physical Demands Work is mostly performed in an office setting, however some requirements occur at storerooms and warehouses in the field. Usually works indoors on concrete surfaces and is exposed to drafts, changing temperatures, and loud noise. Travel to site in a vehicle will occur. Employee will perform work of moderate intensity, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Driving, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking are required.
