Our organization is a physician-led, accountable multispecialty group comprising over 650 providers. We are excited to present a remarkable opportunity for a clinician to join our well-established Infectious Disease department located on the campus of the Regional Medical Center in Boise. This position also offers the chance to serve as the Medical Director for Inpatient Infection Control, allowing you to play a vital role in enhancing our Infectious Disease and Infection Prevention initiatives, primarily based at the Boise hospital. Become a part of our expanding team of providers and dedicated support staff. We utilize EPIC for our electronic health records.
Key Responsibilities- Actively manage our list of Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) patients.
- Conduct follow-up evaluations for patients referred for Infectious Disease management.
- Ensure adherence to the physician's care plan.
- Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Prescribe appropriate treatments and provide patient education.
- Chair the Infection Prevention Committee.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers in assessing and managing patients with communicable diseases.
- Oversee surveillance of healthcare-associated infections.
Situated in the Treasure Valley, you will be just minutes away from a variety of outdoor activities, including skiing at Bogus Basin, fishing in the Boise River, hiking the foothill trails, rafting on nearby rivers, and enjoying both road and mountain biking.
Requirements- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
- Completion of an accredited Infectious Disease fellowship.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease, or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment.
- Possession of an Idaho medical license to practice in all aspects of medicine.
- Valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Boards of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Preferred: Two years of experience in Infection Control or Infectious Disease.
